Advent Evening: We Wait in Joyful Hope-Poems of Advent & Christmas

We Wait in Joyful Hope: Poems of Advent and Christmas

Description:

Facilitated by Kim Langley, M.Ed.

In this gathering to explore and celebrate the sacred spaces of Advent and Christmas, we go within with poets as our guides. We’ll take on the spirit of our forefather in faith, Meister Eckhart, who reflected on how “We are all meant to be mothers of God, for God is always needing to be born.” The process includes prayer, lectio divina with the poems, and a take-home packet of poetic “gems” to carry with you through Advent and Christmas, inspiring more reflection at home.

Create some nourishing space in your spiritual life. The poetry circle is inclusive in nature, and sensitivity and respect are always offered. Kim just completed a 2 year Spiritual Director’s certification program at the Haden Institute in Niagara Falls, Canada. Haden has deepened her love for group spiritual experiences, using poetry as the springboard for the “deeper dive” that so many seekers are looking for. She appreciates each participant who arrived at a poetry gathering or retreat saying with some little misgivings “I don’t know anything about poetry!”…and who departed saying “When can we do this again?”! For testimonials, favorite poems and to learn more about finding the sacred in poetry, visit Kim at www.WordSPA.net or at the WordSPA facebook page.

Kim’s mission is to be of service to the world, delivering exceptional workshops that enable personal and professional growth, enhance authentic interpersonal and self-reflection skills, and make people want to live life to the fullest!

She is a certified Pastoral Minister with the Diocese of Cleveland and holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Before founding LifeBalance Enterprises, Kim supervised 80 people and strived to maintain her own work-life balance. She is married and has raised two great kids—a son and a daughter.

Coffee and tea served at 6:45 pm, program starts at 7:00 pm and concludes at 8:30 pm. Cost is $15
