April-A Word from the Lay Leadership Director

Once again, the Easter season enlivens us with re-birth in Christ’s own light. As our program year comes to a close, we rejoice in having been given the opportunity to serve Christ’s mission. With the apostle Paul, we embrace the mystery of our life in Christ. Witness our program life:Praying with St. Ignatius Retreats. A total of 14 retreat team members served on the two retreats that took place during this past Lenten season at St. Barnabas Parish (Northfield) and at Forest Hill Church (Presbyterian, USA). One St. Barnabas participant reflected, “Now, I am more peaceful and I see Christ/God in the day to day events of my life.” Another participant in the retreat at Forest Hill shared, “I deeply examined my faith and beliefs which made me feel quite vulnerable. This was a safe and loving way to do that.”

Nurturing the Call: Leading Contemplative Group Programs and Retreats.  8 participants who are graduates of the Ignatian Spirituality Institute will complete this 10-part program during this coming month. The program prepares individuals to lead Ignatian Contemplative Group Retreats for JRH and other venues.

The Pilgrim Way of Ignatius Loyola. This 4-part introduction to Ignatian Spirituality was offered by a team of 5 leaders to 100+ participants at St. John Neumann Parish, Strongsville during this past Lent.
