Miracles do occur. Sometimes we do not recognize them. However, we are enchanted and mystified with testimonies of dramatic miracles when we learn they have occurred. This retreat begins by defining what a miracle is in the life of faith. We will then explore the reality of the miracles of Jesus as told in Scripture. We will reflect on present day miracles, those both recognized and unrecognized. Finally, we will ask what kind of miracles are needed for the development of our own spirit of belief in the dynamic work of God in our individual lives.

Contemporary men and women make silent retreats for various reasons. Some are searching for a new way of knowing God that is personal and real. Others use this time to rest in the creative heart of God –to imagine new possibilities, or to sit with gratitude for God’s magnificent work. Still others have reached a time of crossroads or hurdles and come to JRH to find new strength.
Whatever your reason for making a retreat, sacred silence is a gift to the soul. Here, you will experience silence on 57 acres of woods and meadows, complete with outdoor shrines and stations of the cross to aid reflection. The 55-bedroom house provides a home away from home with three chapels, a library, and home-cooked meals.
More than a vacation, IDRs at JRH are life changing events offering an opportunity to step out of day-to-day living and into the heart of the eternal.
