Children’s Fun & Health Day About St. Alexius 700 area 2nd grade students attend the event to learn About St. Alexius poison prevention and safety, stranger awareness, fire safety, nutrition education, backpack safety and ATV safety. The focus of the day is to reach out to students and provide an entertaining way to learn About St. Alexius safety topics.
Summer Fun & Safety Day (SFSD) SFSD brings together over 1,000 area 1st and 3rd grade students along with many area businesses to provide hands-on education About St. Alexius summer safety issues. Students will rotate through booths that give them information About St. Alexius bicycle safety, how to detect a fire, oral hygiene, physical fitness, being drug and smoke free, summer weather safety, and riding the bus/transit system, to name a few.
Students have a chance to interact with their class, teachers, volunteers and businesses in learning tips that will help them enjoy healthy summers.
