Coming Home to Myself & Finding God: A Retreat for Women
Description:
Join us as Karen Hanson, Executive Director of Girls for the World (GFW – www.girlsfortheworld.org ) leads an odyssey of self-discovery. We will explore aspects of our spiritual selves that may have been lost or hidden in our everyday roles and lives, and find the parts of our identities that are longing to emerge. Learn about the benefits of self-awareness in your spiritual quest and its impact on you – personally, on your family and in your world. Karen has adapted this retreat from her work with teenage girls and their mothers throughout the world. She will share GFW experiences from India, Peru, Nicaragua, Haiti and the US that have sparked womens’ imaginations and build their confidence, helping them to discover their unique voices, gifts, dignity, value and leadership potential.
Feedback from a recent parish workshop: “Just wanted you to know how meaningful our day of recollection was. I can’t stop thinking about it and looking at people in a different light. I feel empowered to do good things and to use my ‘wisdom’ to reach out to others and I’ve done that with good results. Everyone I’ve been with who was there has nothing but great things to say about it.”
We are sorry but registration for this event is now closed.
