Highlight on Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive exercise, education, and behavioral modification program designed to improve the physical and emotional condition of patients with heart disease. Heart attack survivors, bypass and angioplasty stent patients, and individuals with angina, valve, and heart transplants are all candidates for a cardiac rehabilitation program.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program consists of Phase I, Phase II and Phase III. Phase I services are delivered in the Telemetry and ICU Units of the Medical Center. Phase II and Phase III services are delivered in an outpatient setting.
