Lenten Luncheon: Liturgy as Mystical Prayer
Description:
Presented by Fr. Michael Woost
The sacramental-liturgical life of the Church is a unique and essential means to mystically encountering the life of the Trinity. Fr. Mike’s presentation will explore how we can experience our liturgical prayer as mystical prayer and so, grow in transforming union with God. Fr. Michael Woost was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Cleveland in 1984. He has served as the Associate Pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish, Madison, and as the Co-Director of the Diocesan Vocation Office. Fr. Mike returned in December of 1999 from graduate studies at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. He is currently teaching sacramental and liturgical theology at St. Mary Seminary.
Lenten Luncheons at Jesuit Retreat House provide sacred space to gather for a home-cooked meal, and prayer. Spiritual and intellectual nourishment are fostered by presenters who inspire, challenge, and delight. Luncheons begin with prayer at 11:30 a.m. and conclude by 1:30 p.m. Cost is $25.
