A 26-year-old man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Manassas home Wednesday afternoon, Manassas police said.

Jose Adin Mercado Bonilla, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary, said Sgt. Tim Neumann, police spokesman.

A neighbor called police after seeing someone break into the house in the 8800 block of Virginia Avenue around 12:57 p.m., police said.

Officers arrived on the scene and saw a broken basement glass door and saw someone walking inside, police said. After a few minutes, the suspect came outside carrying items from inside the house and was arrested, police said.

police reported the following incidents:

• An XBox, several DVDs and a stereo system valued at a combined $1,080 were stolen from a home in the 12900 block of Kimbrough Lane in Dale City between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday. The burglars also ate food, drank alcohol and cooked while in the house.

• A dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and range valued at a combined $5,521 were stolen from a home under construction in the 9200 block of Falling Water Drive in the Sheffield Manor subdivision near Gainesville.

• Tools valued at $1,049 were stolen from a home in the 13500 block of Spriggs Road in Dale City between midnight and 7 a.m. Thursday.

• A 2003 Leonard trailer valued at $1,200 was stolen from the front of a home on Dale Boulevard near the intersection of Nottingdale Drive between 9 p.m. April 15 and 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

• A lawn tractor and a power lawn mower valued at $1,050 were stolen from a home in the 11500 block of Lucasville Road near Manassas between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

• A stereo valued at $225 was stolen from a car parked at the intersection of Redwing Drive and Whittier Loop between 10 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• Tools valued at $650 were stolen from a truck parked in the 9700 block of Loudoun Avenue near Manassas between 8 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday.

• A fender valued at $4,000 was stolen from a 2000 Ford truck in the 17000 block of Dumfries Road between 10 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

• A stereo valued at $300 was stolen from a car parked in the 14200 block of Wilderness Lane in Dale City between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
