We believe in advancing dermatology through innovative medical solutions for people with skin health needs. One of the ways we do this is by inviting dermatologists and other doctors to submit project entries to the SKINPACT Awards. We then provide an element of financial support for the winning projects, giving a considerable boost to many worthy skin health initiatives.




Inspiring new dermatology initiatives

The SKINPACT Awards aim to inspire dermatologists, other healthcare professionals and scientific societies to develop and help implement projects that progress dermatology and support a sustainable dermatology community.

We launched the SKINPACT Awards at the 2015 World Conference of Dermatology in Vancouver, and will be focusing on different regions each year: Latin America in 2016, Asia Pacific in 2017, North America in 2018, and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) in 2019. How does SKINPACT work?

There are four stages:

  1. Submit a project: We invite dermatologists from the scheduled region to submit initiatives in one of two categories – Community Leadership or Excellence in Education – at the SKINPACT Awards website.

  2. Evaluation: A panel of expert dermatologists shortlist five projects in each category and decide on one project in each category that will receive their Expert Panel Award.

  3. Online voting: The international dermatology community then has the chance to vote online for the five chosen projects.

  4. Funding: Each winning project (experts and community vote) in each category – so four projects in total – is awarded $US10,000 to support their work.
