Spiritual directionis a Catholic tradition to which more and more people are turning in theseuncertain times. It involves the one-on-one sharing of one’s prayer orspiritual life with an experienced director, who may either be a religious orlay person. Meeting times and frequency are agreed upon by director anddirectee, and all discussion is kept strictly confidential.
Spiritualdirection is an excellent way to enrich one’s prayer life. It means thatone does not go the faith journey alone, but walks with a trusted, trainedguide. A spiritual director can help one make sense of his or her prayerlife, learn new ways to pray, and discern God’s call.
