Debbie, I am just beginning to homeschool my dgt so I do not have alot of information but I have found one source to find pretty good info. at www.nathhan.com. It is site for homeschooling kids with disabilities(all kinds) I subscribed to an e-mail group and I get lots of information on curriculum and techniques. One on math I have just learned of is mathusee.com. I have not tried it yet but it sounds promising. I hope this helps. There is help out there and I know with my dgt. sometimes what works best is what I think but not necessarily what others think. Good luck. (and if you find anymore information I would love to hear from you!) I am homeschooling my 14 yr.old NLD son.I am not a natural teacher and could really use some specific techniques or cirriculum to follow, especially for math and written language. The materials I have been able to find for teaching special ed at home are geared to right brained thinkers or language based disorders.I,d like to know what they do at schools for NLD students.I e-mailed one,but got no response.
